Today on WGN Morning News, I discussed I Miss You Most and how to help kids make sense of being away from a loved one. It’s okay to miss people and it is important that children know this. Recently, we are facing separation from loved ones due to the COVID pandemic. However, there will always be scenarios in which children are away from loved ones, including divorce, deployment, death, or distance (such as my own kids experience living 8 hours away from family).

Samone Blair, a reporter from my hometown news station, and I talked about missing loved ones and how I hope I Miss You Most can be a positive message for kids who are missing their loved ones.
